Norman Ackroyd is the world acknowledged english artist known primarily for his aquatint work. Graphic Studio Dublin members had an amazing opportunity to participate in Norman Ackroyd workshop where he showed some of sugar lift techniques. It was an amazing experience and priceless moment along with the studio colleagues to watch the demonstration of acknowledged master.
During this workshop I learned plenty new skills: how to work with soft and hard grounds painting directly onto the plate; how to make home-made aquatint box; how to sketch using mirror and many more.
After this demonstration I feel very inspired to create some 'Norman' style etchings. Great experience!
