UTOPIAN CITY: BERLIN

Every city has something unique and remarkable to discover.  Berlin is one of the most interesting and contrasting cities I have ever visited. It is a massive place to explore, both geographically and emotionally.
Some parts of the city reminded me a 'Ville Radieuse' or the 'Machine City' for what French-Swiss architect Le Corbusier had big plans to build the ideal city in the early 20th century. The idea of "purism" in the architectural forms that are massive skyscrapers for people - rich and poor - parks and green areas, divide this massive city into zones of productivity and leisure. Even Berlin's large-scale project, the Berlin City Palace, originally built in the 15th century, could be called an utopian urban concept.
Berlin is a city without an actual city-center, and rather, has a multitude of small centers dotted across the city. Maybe such situation arose because of Berlin's historic and political change. There is saying that ‘Berlin is not Germany, Germany is not Berlin.’ Whatever, after all my travels across Europe, I consider Berlin as one of the most interesting cities and, I have no doubt I will visit Berlin again in the near future.
